Good News - we can announce that Saturday May 16th is the Sydney Syncro Sleep-Out.
BaseCamp Location? > On the Hawkesbury River at Mitchells Rd, Sackville North NSW 2756
http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=mitchells+rd+sackville&sll=-33.474856,150.901841&sspn=0.003445,0.004828&ie=UTF8&ll=-33.473782,150.883511&spn=0.003445,0.004828&t=h&z=18
From the link above, you can see the green roof is the owners residence whereas the facility we would use is the orange roof close to the waterline and adjacent boat-ramp.
There is a gas BBQ also for cooking. A fridge is there but no shower facility. Plenty of tables and chairs and a jug for boiling water. Toilet, kitchen sink, benches all there. Almost all facilities are under cover of the roof, in case of wet weather. Room to pitch tents as well.
Thank you Ken for helping organise the availability of this location.
Access from the:
South & West is via (Windsor NSW) is via Sackville Rd and the Ferry (43km from Penrith, 20km from Windsor)
North / East Sydney is via Pennant Hills / Dural on Wiseman's Ferry Rd / Sackville Rd (55km form Pennant Hills)
Central Coast is via either (a) down F3 to Hornsby / Pennant Hills / Dural / Wiseman's Ferry Rd / Sackville Rd (111km / mostly main roads)
or (b) via Mangrove & Spencer and the actual Wiseman's Ferry and then Wiseman's Ferry Rd / Sackville Rd (112km)
If arriving Friday night, the ferry operates into the late evening, and it will be findable in the dark. More instructions to follow.
Plenty of room, plenty of notice - be great to see as many Syncros friends as possible.
Regards
Mark.

Subject: [Syncro_T3_Australia] Re: Excuse for an annual meet
Ken,
Due to the GFC the next long weekend is not until the Queen's Birthday in June, and I'm not sure if that one will be cancelled either as I know she is tightening her belt as well (as it were).
I'm happy with an overnight or two, could possibly make it Fri/Sat night somewhere, however, I know for many reaching a campsite before dark on Friday will be troublesome, unless perhaps a Scout has conducted some recon ahead and provided precise instructions.
The weekends in May that I can make are:
Sat 23rd
Sat 30th (and maybe Fri 29th)
These are the similar weekends we negotiated last year.
I will also look into some possible camp grounds. We could possibly stage on Friday night near Beowra Waters or similar (which is easy to find / get to) and then move somewhere more remote for Saturday night.
Regards
Mark.
PS - Does someone have Scott's direct address? He has the 2.7 Subie Blue Syncro, with Caravelle features put in there and a new pop-top roof I understand, and is on the Central Coast as well.

Yep sounds good to me. Can we all put our thinking caps on and come up with a suggestion or three.
May I say though I thought last time was too short a meet time, would have been nice to spend more time to catch up on all the latest syncro gos with each individual. A long weekend or something more? Cheers.
