Fire Inquiry

Friends,

Is everyone on the list OK and out of the way of the terrible fires?

What a tragedy for so many.

Larry,

I have very few physical addresses for members, unfortunately.  In the past, we did have members in some of the areas that have been razed but they have slipped off the list over the years.

This was very bad because the fires were precursored by exceptionally high temperatures.  There were a series of days over 105 degrees and very low humidity.  I live on the south west side of Melbourne, roughly half way between Melbourne and Avalon airport.  On the day everything blew up, we got 117.5 and Avalon got 118 degrees.

It is possible to survive fires like this if one has had the foresight to build a fire bunker.  In fact, several families survived this way in areas where nothing was left.  People will always live in these areas, so bunkers will have to become part of the community if this is to be avoided in the future.

Thanks for your concern.

Les

Les,

Thanks very much for the reply.

If you find that any member of your Syncro-T3 community is in need of help please let us know.

We will do what we can to rally the syncronauts and other bus enthusiasts on this end.

We are, after all, a world wide community.

Take care my friend.

Our good thoughts and well wishes are with your community.
