Firestone Destination tyres

I am needing a new set of tyres for my Traka and wondered if people are still happy with their Firestone Destination P205/75R/15?

I am interested to here if they are relatively quiet,

fit under the bash plate at the front and

handle well?

Any experiences would be appreciated.  Regards Greg N

Hi Greg, I have had these tyres for about 30000 kms.
They fit in the clamshell, I don't notice any excessive noise.
I don't go off road, just sealed and unsealed roads, so I can't really comment on handling.
They only raised my Syncro by 5 to 10mm. I had 14" tyres before that.
Regards Gerald Cornish.
Thanks Gerald do you have them on 15" rims now?  also I have a flat plate underneath not a clamshell so not sure if it fits the same. Greg
Hi Greg,
Yes, my Bridgestone Destinations are on 15" Mefros.
Yes, the spare fits in my flat plate on the Syncro.. (I got confused with my 2WD, which had the clamshell).
Gerald

I have the same tyres on mefro rims that we bought in the group purchase. Tyres have been great. No issues. But I think my skid plate is most likely non standard. I had to have a welding mod done and even then I have to store the tyre deflated. I keep a compressor with me to pump up the tyre should it be needed. Can do photos if anyone is interested.

Hi Peter, with regard to the spare wheel plate, I think the one thing I had to do was put in a longer bolt and a sleeve to maintain a certain space for the 15" Destinations.
Hi Greg,

I have the same setup. Tyres are quiet on road and fit into the stock spare location with no issues for me (inflated).
