Fox Shocks

Anyone out there running Fox Shocks ? I'm looking to purchase a set but would like any feedback first.
I find the OME shocks tend to not have enough rebound damping and don't really last up front with lift springs and bigger tyres.
Mark

I did have full set on syncro with 2" lift Go Westy springs and would thoroughly recommend them. Did 1 trip with OME on the front, didn't bother with rears. ..perhaps FOX  dampening could have a slightly harder setting for HWY. .ride on rough terrain is astounding .Cheers Paul.

Just out of interest Mark, what's the cost on a set of shocks?

Thx, Gaetan
Thanks Paul.

Any issues fitting them up front with 2" lift springs? GW says no lift springs are essential ?

Thanks

Mark
Mark,
Surprised you had to ask!
You know Nathan Nixey. He bought my Trakka Syncro. That's got a full set of the fully adjustable Fox Shocks.
They have adjustable damping with height adjustment on the fronts. They are also fully rebuildable.
Gowesty sell them excluisively http://www.gowesty.com/product/shock-absorbers-bushings/23503/fox-shock-kit-syncro-?v= Can't get them through Fox agents in Aus. Only available through Gowesty and CVC in the UK.
Expensive. I went for the full set. Not much change out of $2.5k landed here. They need to be shipped in separate shipments under $1000 to avoid GST and other charges.
Better stability on the blacktop. Really come into their own offroad. 10 settings for damping adjustment.
Drove down from Cape York May last year. Took some punishment, particularly on a section of the OTT and past Weipa with the bulldust and corrugatons following the Road Trains. Check with Nathan.

Check attached progress images of my new Travel Trucks build due next month.

Cheers,
Bruce Morphett.

Nice beast you have there Bruce.

Never as good as the syncro though - especially your old one :-)

Cheers,

Scott

No problem fitting frt or rear shocks, frt 2"lift springs were a handful, took me a while, not a lot of room for 3 or 4 spring compressors. That was in 2012. CV 's would click for a while when vehicle was cold if vehicle was empty. Never had any issues .Vehicle did 50,000 km with that set up .Cheers Paul.
