Free T3 rear shelf

Hi Everyone ,

Hope everyone is enjoying the Christmas break. Haven't been logging in much lately partly because I've spent much of the year away. I've just had the 30,000Km service on the T5 and am very happy with it although I'd rather cross a river in Botswana in a T3.

When I had my T3 Caravelle Syncro it came with a custom made full width rigid rear shelf which took the rear hight level from that of the engine cover to being level with the top of the rearmost seat. It is covered in a dark blue carpet that adorned much of the vehicle and allowed items to be stowed out of sight between the engine lid and the shelf. I had the impression it was made in part to carry the spare wheel as the van had the max. factory size tyres which made stowage under the front problematic. It has channels each end into which supports slot and an adjustable further support that allows the compartment to be divided up as desired. When I sold the vehicle and sent it to WA I forgot that I had removed and stored the shelf so as I am now clearing out a few T3 items I thought I would make it available free to anyone on the register until 13th Jan 2014 after which I will advertise it. I've attached a photo and put my mobile number below for
any questions.

Any interest? - I am in Carlton Victoria and its size(approx. 1490mm x 815mm plus the supports are around 330mm high) really confines it to pick up only from me. It would fit any T3 as long as it had not been reduced internally in width by cupboards etc.
Cheers

PS Did notice that Just Kampers have just got in a gear shift reconditioning kit for T3's at $148. Don't know if it suits the Syncro and/or whether Ken's shared research/solution means everyone now enjoys a tight notchy gear shift.
