Friday arvo beers n Syncro

Hey folks here's another good use for a syncro. Friday arvo, raining down the beach.

A couple of mates , dogs and some cold beers. Doesn't get any better except maybe if Neil Young showed up and played a few tunes for us... ( showing my age )

Nice one Mark. And here is mine happy at the Trial Bay Campground in South West Rocks last weekend. With some extra trimmings inspired by my visit to Busfest. Also we saw the best humpback whale antics that I have ever seen in my time in the coast.

Tis the season to be camping.....

Yes Skot. The place was packed and from 1 November they jack up the price for the Spring/Summer season so much, that another mortgage on the house is needed to go there!!!! Then over the Xmas break you have to book in 5 day lots!!

Yeah all finished now Pete.
If you want to run 235/75/15 you need about 37 ET or things will rub up front. And some 8 mm spacers and longer studs on the back.

VC was stripped on the spline - first time mechanic had ever seen that. Get a decoupler fitted..

I have to say one more time for anyone thinking Subi 2.5 it makes the vehicle run the way it always should have.
Awesome..

Mark
So where did you get a new VC or did you put in a fixed sleeve ? What did it cost??
Cheers Pete

Mechanic who is Syncro friendly tracked down a used one out of Canberra together with spline.
$700 plus 4-5 hours labour.
I'm not a straight shaft convert I like AWD especially for towing and crosswinds.
And never left me stuck so far although the stripped spline wasn't far off.

3 years to renovate an old Van won't be doing that again. Time to have some fun :)

Cheers Pete.
