Front diff inner cvs

Hi ,
Have a slight leak at one of the front inner cv joints where it enters the front diff.
Where could I find reference to the required seals in the Bentley manual.
Thks
Philippe
Hi Philippe,
Bentley in the main is the reference for procedures. Etka or Etos are the reference for individual parts.

See attached two Etka parts files concerning the front diff. Each file is two pages covering relevant schematic diagrams and parts lists.

Assuming you are referencing a front diff output shaft fluid leak, the replacement parts you need to remedy the leak are:
In file 09a.pdf ... Positions (ie, "Pos") 20, 21.
In file 09b.pdf ... Positions 14 and optionally 12,15.

These parts are available from Van Cafe or Bus depot. Part 20 I found only at Bus depot.
Or else try your local parts supplier.
To remove circlip (securing ring) position 12, you will need lock ring pliers similar to that shown in attached pics.

Alternatively, use your discretion. if it is only a slight leak, remove front diff fill plug, check level with finger. If level is still within acceptability range, do nothing other than to continue monitoring that it remains only a slight leak.
Address the leak later if and when the diff needs a higher level of remedial maintenance.

Cheers.
Ken
