Front Mudflaps?

Does anybody happen to know where I might be able to gethold of a set
of these? As can be seen on Les's bus.

Andy.

These were standard on Australian delivered Syncros as far as I
know. I will have a look around and see if I can find some for
you. There is a problem with the front mudfalps when the vehicle is
lifted on a two pole hoist. Owing to the disposition of the hoist
arms, the front mudpflaps are bent to more than 90 degrees and tend
to crack from the outside in. Mine were like that and I repaired
them with a Sikaflex compound. To make this work and achieve a bond
that is at least as strong as the original rubber, the crack needs
to be ground back to raw material.

I have also made my front flaps quickly detachable, using stainless
bolts and wingnuts. Before it goes on a hoist (all too often!!) I
remove the front flaps.

Steve Jacobsen mentioned a man called Andrew Kovak, who has some
spares, including Syncro. Has anyone got a phone number for him? I
would like to put it on the messages for the benefit of everyone.
