HI there,
I have a newly purchased trakka syncro high top. Amazing van in incredible shape with dual locking diffs, powered everything, solar, leather upholstery, full service history etc etc... and I've given it a good going over to get everything working tip top and one thing has got me... the washer pump for the front. The old one was seized so I replaced it, and now when its connected, the wipers dont do their 5 wipes and the pump does nothing. If i disconnect it the wipers do their 5 wipes (but no washer spray is happening obviously) If I test the voltage at the pump leads, it reads 12v and sticking the voltage probes in at the pump end doesnt affect the wipers pulses. And when I put 12v through the pump it works fine. SO does ANYONE know why plugging in the pump would stop the whole wash/wipe from working? I reversed polarity and still nothing. The switch looks fine too, but thats the last option... to fit a new switch, though I assume if the wipers puse with no pump attached, then the switch is 'switching'.
Many thanks, and glad to join the forum!
