Fuel consumption on LPG

Phill,

More fuel efficient? Not sure, suppose to. Rudi and Michael are doing
ok on fuel consumption and Michael's dad is doing really well.
They also have installed valve saver.
One thing I forget to mention - on my system, it always start on
petrol. On short city trips I will be using quite a bit of petrol,
and without any petrol and plenty of LPG I won't be going anywhere..
Thanks for tip on the ignition, I will keep on eye on it.

Cheers, Theo
Injection - like using a hose to fill a bottle
Impco - like filling a bottle from a bucket.

Mine automatically starts on petrol.

Hi Michael R.

I also checked it against the mile markers at varies times (don't
trust the overhead speed markers)
the result is always the same - short by about 8%.

Cheers Theo

Hi,

I can't remember all the spec of the gas system off hand but will get some photos and write down the specs today and post them tonight.  I like the idea of  an oil cooler but on really rough stuff it's just one more thing that can break.  We have been running without one since 1990 towing race car trailers without any problems but we have replaced the heads once due to valve recession caused by the increased combustion temp.  The other thing to consider is the addition of upper cylinder lube.  We have found that that has been worth the effort.

Cheers,

Michael Roberts
