hi all

can any other doka owners out there enlighten me as to what should cover the engine on our vehicles?

at the moment mine has a knuckly old piece of ply which, unfortunately i think might be factory! am i right?

That is a genuine VW knuckly old piece of ply.
It's the stuff that they use for concrete formwork with a piece of tin screwed underneath.

thanks guys,

well far be it from me to cast aspersions on the vw doka design team but i think it was a slightly half baked solution to a pretty simple problem....must have been knocking off time...

Perhaps you could knit a 4 ply cover for it. Best to use steel wool.
