FW: [Syncro_T3_Australia] Locking diff question

Sam,
Yes. Just be sure to confirm correct functionality of the difflock engage/disengage shaft, it could be frozen in/out due to abuse/gunk/corrosion.
If it was me, I'd be mainly concerned as to the wear condition of the tranny internal components. Bit of a bummer you install it then discover all that is wrong with it.
If all is well on the above, then while it is still out and for peace of mind, decide on which tranny fluid you prefer and carry out a complete tranny fluid change.
Cheers.
Ken

Subject: [Syncro_T3_Australia] Locking diff question

Hi Guys,

I am about to put a locking diff into my non-locking ex-telstra syncro. Can I put in the locking diff, without all the vacuum plumbing etc, and drive around (with the diff unlocked?) and install the vacuum plumbing at a later date??

Also, any other tips (for my mechanic, not going to take this one on myself) on putting the diff / gearbox in?

Thanks! Sam.
