Fw: Valla 2014

Trying again with just 1 photo this time. This is Bill's dog at a stop on the Rover Trail (looking for Rover I suppose) Don't think he comes with Bill's Syncro sale

Aimed to send following but having trouble with attachments that are too big and not having any joy trying to use Dropbox. Any suggestions gratefully received. Have some good videos to share eg Neil's T2 run up that final loop of Rover Trail as well as what I took in Hart's Tristar mentioned below. Someone remarked on the lack of engine noise for Dokas and the soundtrack on the video bears this out. Will attach a couple of teaser photos and persevere with the others perhaps using my Hotmail account. Stay tuned.
Les can I echo the gratitude of the other contributors for starting and nurturing our trusty register. Eddie they are some impressive syncro statistics.
Cheers

Back safely and aim to post a few more  pictures and videos of our enjoyable time together. Thanks to all who contributed
and encouraged -  it was good to share time together again. Rudy was down from Bribie Island and Neil came up from Sydney with his sister Heidi who had previously accompanied (kept him under control) on our trip to Cape York. Even came across my previous T3 with its still happy current owner and me a little nostalgic. Phil was there gathering VIN numbers  - plus many more good T3 people to share time with.

This video is of the start of the drive up Rover Trail  calmly piloted by Hart in his Tristar.  I think this aspect of the weekend illustrated that good driving adds to the capabilities of fine machines.
The photo is us waiting to join the procession and then static display in the main street of Nambacca Heads.
On not such a happy note as I was coming back from Valla via Sydney I responded to Tom Mischler's email seeking someone to bring his new Mefro rims to Melbourne. Tom was on his way to me yesterday to pick up the rims when he rang to postpone as he had been involved in an accident that has had serious perhaps irretrievable consequences for his T3.Fortunately after a day in hospital he has been discharged apparently with no long term consequences to himself.
Cheers

Roger,

With re-sizing photo files I have done this using Windows Photo Viewer and clicking on the E-mail Option at the top of the screen which basically attaches the file to an email at a much smaller size instantly. You then close down the photo and double click on the attachment in the email that has formed. This brings the photo back up at the smaller resolution and size. I then go to file and save the photo either over the top of the original or into another folder.

That way you can compile individually a set of photos which can be emailed or uploaded to sites much easier.

I put most of my syncro off road Rover Trail and a few of the street parade photos up on the Kombi Club site and Event discussion to further spread the fun we had.

I noticed your ex-syncro was a bit bashed up but at least that cattle grid bull bar was about to be removed and replaced with an original bumper or at least something else.

The new Owner seems to like taking the van off-road at any chance as he is a road worker and hence drives to work and then drives off into the scrub to sleep at night. Sounds like fun.

Cheers,

Skot
