Fwd: shipping dates

Hi rim buyers,

I just thought I'd pass on the information from Syncro Services that the estimated arrival date of the rims is 16 December – just in time for Christmas. I hope this is OK from your point of view, Gary. It will take at least a few days, I guess, to clear them through customs, etc. Looks like I'd better get my Xmas shopping done early this year....

Peter, we will be heading up to Sydney around New Year. I was wondering whether we could somehow fit your rims on board. I'd certainly like to help out, but will have to consult my resident very particular packer (i.e. Tony, my husband).

meanwhile I got the informations about the shipping dates:

ETS: 04.11.2010
POL:Hamburg
ETD: 16.12.2010
POD:Melbourne, Australia
Vessel: "PORTO"


I can imagine that you won´t be happy that the vessel will arrive that late in Australia, the shipping agent told me also that it would take approx. 4 weeks and now we do have nearly 6 weeks. Unfortunately we can´t influence the dates, this is only possible when booking "express" rates, the cheapest form of shipping doesn´t allows any preferations from customers side.

I really hope that you will be able to handle this, even if your gathering was before that date and it would have been the easiest for all of you to pick the rims up there.

The bolts had been sent out together with the brake lines from my store.

Thanks Francesca, hopefully won't take too long to get the clearance sorted, i'll be there all week after that until xmas eve so hopefully we can get the pallet all tucked up safely before xmas. We'll work something out anyway.

I might pop in to see Tony tomorrow if he's working as I need a couple of bike bits.
