gear shift gate

Hi all, could anyone confirm that part number 251 711 176 is a good part number for a syncro. This is the part number for the 4 speed and that is what is cast into the one on my van so I assume they are the same. It is the alloy gate bolted on to the black square gear selector housing. Thanks Greg E
That sounds correct to me. But I am not always correct.

I have used BusDepot quite a few times and found their service to be excellent.

Greg,
I'll confirm that that is the correct bolt in alloy part for the syncro gear selector black box.
One of our members had his worn alloy "gate" built back up by alloy welding and then re-shaped to size using workshop methods. Worked out ok.

The guy on the Samba imports a select number of parts himself direct from Germany for resale in US. A shame he only accepts cash.

Bought it from Paul at Mueller & Mueller, that was years back, give him a call on 0412 449 389. Or try Stephen 0400 356 057

I've not yet purchased anything from Bus Depot, but comparing prices from time to time, they can often be the cheapest. A case in point are the pair of syncro rear hand brake cables.
