Wonder if any of our German speaking members have any interest in the following currently on e-bay.

PS Have just clocked over 20,000 Kms since getting the T5 9 months ago. I'll have to stop taking the long way home but I still get a bit misty eyed when I see a good syncro.
Thanks for the lead.
Looks like they have lots of copies, because they are offering Buy-Now.

Btw Roger, it's a nice, informative publication, bought it when you found it on the net last time ...
I fell in love with the Dehler high roof conference bus. A fit out that only can come from acclaimed yacht builders, as Dehler is. Just better than superb.
Any idea how old the things got to be before we can import one?

Hart,

From what my Dad found when he imported his coach bus thing - pre-1988 was the mark as of last year.

Not sure what the rule is this year but filling out the forms for importing a vehicle - you filled out about a quarter of it up until the section where it says if your vehicle is older than 1988 then go to question 350 (from question 40) - it was probably not that much of a jump but it was a big jump.

Cheers,

Skot

Twenty five years is when they deem the import not to be a threat to our thriving car industry! The other way to get around being taxed heavily is to import a car you have had registered in another country in your name for 3+ months. This the way it was 10years ago at least, when I almost brought my GTX2 Scirocco back from the UK. Plenty of hoops to jump through and plenty of grief from customs (they really do not like mud).
