Great For Any Syncro Colection

This is amazing!  Whenever I am near model shops, even newsagents with car models, I always look to see if I can find a T3.  There are bags of T1's but never T3's.  And now you come up with  Syncro!!  Amazing stuff!

Indeed! I managed to pick up a very chipped Matchbox model T3 Ambulance van that was hiding in the toy collection of my children's after school care centre (how Toy Story of me), but its the only T3 model I've seen up 'till now. It would be interesting to know exactly what was made and by whom.

Murray and Pete,

I will put in a bid for it.

After paying for my gearbox, I will probably be broke for years, so this will add just a little bit to the brokedom!!

These Schabak Syncro's come up on ebay.de almost every week and (I believe) often go for
considerably less than this unt is currently priced at.
A word of warning though, postage costs from de to au for small items such as these can be
very expensive.

Unless someone like Joachim can help ;-)

Cheers,

Andy.
Its a SCHABAK MODELL Made in Germany. I only know because I have one. Not in as good a condition as that one as it has been on my window sill for 15 years and now occasionally gets played with by my 3 year old Grandaughter

I have a metalic blue syncro Caravelle and a white panel van syncro both made by Schabak.

I also have a few Roco syncros.

I try to collect T3 syncros only and not 2wds. (Check by the fuel filler)

Perhaps its time for a members’ toys photo file (the little toys that is, plenty of photos of the big toys already)

Actually, I was thinking of starting a new folder called "The Reverse Goldmine", featuring my Syncro, because that's what it is fast becoming.

Hi folks,

In the next weeks I'll create a list with all Schabak syncros with
pictures, so you can search better for them. I'll post the link here
on the list.

I think I'll do it like my Revell list:

It wouldn't be hard to convert a water-cooled T3 kit.  Blank off the front filler and make a recessed filler for the rear.

I like the look of the Magnum PI version. I think it is time for a new paintjob....

Hi Les,

unfortunately not, only air cooled and water cooled 2WD.

Christoph

.

Christoph,

I have just noticed that all bar one are the single headlight model.

Les

Well the Kombies to the Kape has turned out to be of only the Four
Wheel Drive variety. Wally who was organising the trip had
overheating troubles as he crossed the Gateway Bridge in Brisbane. He
returned home to the Gold Coast to try and rectify the problem but
after 2 more attempts to get his 4litre V8 Toyota motor cooler he
gave up. 3 attempts to cross the Gateway was enough to make anyone
give up I reckon.

So the contingent consists of :-

Brian T5
Doug T4
Paul T3
Roger T3
Rudi T3

I camped the night with them at Yamba, just north of Rocky. They got
away this morning just before 8am.
Lots of VW talk, so was a good night and morning.

When Andrew and Melissa join them in Cairns they should be a nice
number for a great trip to the Tip.

Bruce
Gday Bruce,

Dammit Bruce, I was really looking forward to hearing how modded 2WD
Kombis with 32" wheels would handle the conditions north of Cooktown.

So now, 6 vehicles is quite a nice size maneagable group eh. And having
4 syncros to pull out only one T4 and one T5 should also be pretty
manageable to eh .... lol

Thanks for the progress report Bruce, keep us informed if you can. Ta.

Cheers.

Ken
