Heaps of German motor parts for sale

All parts German originals, from a just rebuilt 2.1 motor with 220k on the clock.
A few brand new things like the coolant junction, thermostat and hall sensor.

I’ve got most of these parts available if anyone is interested. I swapped my motor for an EJ25, the old 2.1 motor ran perfectly and all specs were checked when rebuilt in 2019. Only prob was a crack in left hand block that meant coolant dripping, hence the replacement.

Selection of what I have:

  • complete injection system
  • complete ignition loom (ECU sold)
  • 4 cylinder liners and pistons
  • crankshaft with original conrods
  • AC pump
  • PS pump
  • Alternator
  • 8 x pushrod tubes w seals (new)
  • 8 x pushrods
  • 2 x rocker shafts assemblies
  • 2 x rocker covers
  • 2 x oil pressure senders (new)
  • oil pump toothed wheels and cover + new nuts
  • water pump with pulley
  • distributor with new hall sensor
  • bellhousing
  • complete clutch
  • expansion tank
  • complete air filter with sensors
  • full set of HT leads
  • aluminium coolant junction (new)
  • any metal coolant pipes
  • oil filler tube
  • oil dipstick
  • any brackets
  • thermostat body with new 80C tstat
  • starter motor fully recon’d

    Etc, just ask!
    Cheers

Hi Gaetan
Am collecting parts for a rebuild, so could be interested in quite a few of the parts.

Are the pistons and cylinders new, and what brand?

Was the crankshaft reground and fitted with new bearings?

Was the camshaft replaced or reground?
Cheers, Roger.

Hi Roger,

no, none of the parts you mentioned are new. They all are original VW parts, from a sweet running 2.1L Wasserbox from a 1992 Syncro with 220,000 genuine kms on the clock. I have the full vehicle history since it was bought by its previous owner from water company in 1995.

Piston and cylinders are matched, when I rebuilt the motor last year I checked them and found to be well within tolerance, so just put new rings on and did 4,000kms before swapping to the Subaru engine.

Crankshaft is also original, big ends and conrods were not disturbed as they all felt perfect and it’s hard to get those stretch bolts without replacing the conrods as well.

Camshaft I need to get out - it’s already spoken for I just need to get pictures and confirm it’s the original german item - pretty sure it is.

Let me know if interested in any of the above.
Cheers
Gaetan

G’day Gaetan

I would be interested in buying the distributor with new hall sensor, the throttle body (if there is no wiggle in the butterfly valve shaft), the airflow meter and the large rubber hose between the two, the idle stabiliser unit (behind the D/S tail-light), the idle speed control valve, fuel pump, the engine wiring loom (if in good condition), the alternator bracket that attaches to the crankcase (if it has no hairline cracks), and the two-groove crankshaft pulley if it has the sleeve pressed on to the hub for the special syncro oil seal.

I might even make an offer for the whole lot, depending on freight costs. I’m in Goulburn, NSW. Where are you?

cheers, Roger.

Hi Roger,
sorry for the late reply it’s been a crazy week.
Yes I can get you most of these parts, all are in good condition including the ignition wiring.
I haven’t checked for play in the butterfly flap, and not 100% on exactly which all the other parts you want - if you have pics or part numbers that would be helpful.
Can’t help you with the crankshaft pulley as it’s already been spoken for, also it’s 3-grove as it also ran the AC compressor.
For the rest yes of you want to make an offer for the lot I could get it boxed up and get you a shipping quote from here (Fremantle WA).
Let me know what you’re thinking, otherwise I can give you rough s/h prices for each item and we can go from there.
Thanks!
Gaetan

G’day Gaetan - yep, it has been a crazy couple of weeks, topped off with a computer crash.

Let me know what you think the package is worth and then we can get a freight quote.

No rush - we will both be busy over Christmas.

Meantime, all the best for Chrissy and the New Year!

Cheers, Roger.

Hi Roger,
sorry for the delay it’s indeed been crazy with the season, our trip away and then straight back to work!
Can you give me a list of all that you’re interested in so I can put a package price together, and if accepted, a shipping quote?
I know we spoke about quite a few things but I’m not clear on exactly what you’d like to go ahead with.
Thanks in advance!
Gaetan
