help wanted- front visco!

hi guys, im wondering if any one has a front visco coupling or front
diff complete for sale, mine appears to have stopped working,
on soft dry sand the rear wheel spins, pull out diff lock, go a little
further and both rear wheels spin! drop the old girl into growler gear
and the rears still spin with no aparrent effort from the fronts, can
i re-seal my visco n top it up? or is it a new jobbie?? the prop to
the front spins so it must be the visco- right? cheers jon.
Jon,

Sounds like the VC is cactus.  If the silicone fluid leaks out of it, it progressively stops functioning.  It is not something that can be re-sealed.  The function of the VC depends on not only having the correct amount of fluid in it but also a calculated air space.  From memory, there is someone in Germany who reconditions VCs and there might be a few in the US.

A couple of list members have replaced their VCs and they can tell us where they obtained them and how much they cost.  Changing a VC is a fairly simple job.

There are test procedures available to determine if the VC is working or not but your experience (rears spinning and front not moving) suggests that it is not working effectively.
