Hi Joachim. Once again many thanks for the info. Now for your English
lesson. 'Straight from the horse's mouth', means information given,
honest and true, from the source, original. Often used in Australia,
around the racecourse or other sporting venues in relation to recieving
'hot' inside information on a horse or teams performance in regard to
'laying' (putting on ) a bet. So in our case, to recieve information
about a VW Syncro from Germany,(the home of VW) is like recieving
inside information 'straight from the horse's mouth'. Here ends the

Thank you once again for the "free" lesson. I'm actually being a
student at the moment with one module called "English as a Foreign
Language". To receive a description about typical OZ expressions is
very welcome indeed =:-)

But as regards

I must say that there is very little I am able to contribute to the
list. You already have the guys with excellent knowledge about the
syncro and I must say that it was actually me the one learning a lot
about syncros from many OZ-syncro-guys during our visit in 2004.
