How do you apply the Syncro sticker

G'day all,
I took advantage of the recent good weather to strip back the front of the van and apply a new coat of paint, which doesn't look too bad from across the road on a dark night.

The next challenge is to apply the "Syncro" sticker. How does it attach?

Hi Roger
Stickers are applied by wetting the surface with water, apply the sticker and once in the correct position, squeeze water out with a squeegee (don't if that's the correct spelling ).

Roger,
The following link suggests correct dimensional positioning.
I'd still double check other sources or known original sticker, all the same.

Cheers.

Someone else asked for the position and I did this for them – see attachment.

Hi Les,
To replicate the "syncro" sticker original position, starting with a blank canvas, I'm of the view those dimensions are not sufficient.
Others may like to check dimensions on their own "original" sticker as I will and get back here to report accurate findings, that way we can ascertain/confirm exactly the true position and record it accordingly in the files.
Cheers.

Ken,

Not in the rocket science category.  The top edge of the printing is parallel to the indicated line in the front panel and it is the stated distance in from the side join.

Les,
Ok no problem.

I might check a few when I get the chance, just curious because if I replaced mine using those dimensions, it'd end up dissimilar to what it is now.
Cheers.

Ken,

As far as I know, mine is in the original position but cross checking a few more should give a good indication.  On a production line, things like this are usually affixed by using a mask – which is a template that is put in position and has a window in it to locate the sticker.  Any takers please?  It would need only a couple of minutes to check.

Disregard the last post. These are the correct measurements.
Les, can the previous be deleted to avoid confusion? Otherwise their sticker will be out by 2mm.

Top of centre of "n" to crease = 82mm
Top of centre of "s" to crease = 84mm
Top of centre of "o" to crease = 86mm
Right edge of "o" to seam = 53mm

Mine is original.

Thanks Hart
sounds a bit like the way we used to apply the od registration stickers.

I guess I'm showing my age here.

Remember when you could register your old splittie for about sixty bucks?

Thanks for all the advice. Will buff back the paintwork on the next warm day [if I live long enough] and apply the sticker. It's been sitting on the shelf for a few years, so I hope it is still O.K.
