How to disassemble the OEM Bosch syncro starter motor?

Hi ALL,
Became stuck trying to fully disassemble on the workbench a starter motor for an inspection/review/clean.
I can remove the solenoid, the top cap of the outer casing that holds the brush kit and remove all four brushes.
But no way was it clear as to how to go further and remove/separate the armature from its outer metal casing.
Any ideas please as to how to proceed further? TIA.
Cheers.
Ken
Hi Ken, bit hard to explain when there  is nothing in front of you. In any case,  you have to remove the 6mm bolt and the end stop at the  very  end of the armature shaft .
All should fall apart.
Cant look at my spare, driven up into the Carrai NP today.

Hi Hartmut,
Mmmmmmm.... thanks but that sounds too easy, wish it was so!
I couldn't see anything else that unscrews...at either end. Have I missed something?
I believe later Bosch models disassemble more easily, as seen on Youtube videos.
But I've not found disassemble videos of this 30 year old vintage Bosch starter.
I'll double check the disassembly procedure again shortly.
Cheers.
Ken.
ps: Yeah, nice time to visit Carrai. Enjoy!

This might give you some hints. Not VW, but similar idea,
This looks like the VW starters I've done in the past. Have not done the Syncro's one yet.
