Hub Caps

I have four standard syncro Transporter (not chrome) hub caps if anyone here wants them. They are in good shape but require cleaning and painting.

Hi Phil - I need some hubcaps but they need to be caravelle, ie, chrome. Anyone have spares of these?

Aftermarket chrome are easy to get. Try Ron at C&S. He should be able to order them in.

Has anyone  ever found a source of T3 hub caps that don't rust?

Back in the heyday of the Beetle, genuine VW hub caps were forever; they just never rusted.     Of the four on my Syncro, one never rusts, the other three rust quite quickly.   Regular washing and polishing keeps it at bay but it would be really nice to have three more like the one that doesn't rust. 

Any ideas?

Phill,

The prices of the local suppliers are a bit breathtaking but suggest (hopefully) that they are actually copper/nickel/chrome.

It is interesting to note that the chromes stainless version is in the same price range.

Next question: has anyone had experience of any of these hub caps?
