I got one off Gumtree

Hi Guys, 

After a lot of looking about I bought today a 1992 syncro transporter. I had a Caravelle with difflock and air con years ago and sold it.....what a fool I was.

Anyhow, this one has some rust issues around the windscreen , but it’s generally very straight.

Who sells the best replacement panels on-line? 

This old girl has no aircon or difflocks, but will be a lot of fun.

After the rust, I’ll look at putting some 15” wheels on her. Mercedes with 37mm offset seemed to be the go 25 years ago.

Anything changed?


Also interest to hear if anyone has tried Kysor  12v aircon systems?

Hi Mark 
Welcome back to our nutty bunch.

Replacement panels are sold by JK, VW Heritage and Brickwerks.

Not all panels are available yet.

Regarding the wheels 16 inch are the way to go these days to allow the fittment of big brakes which syncros need as stock brakes are terrible. 

Post up some photos of the new syncro when you can.
