Interesting power components for possible VW 4WD Range Rover Evoque competitor

Thanks for your good wishes. Am now back safely from my 9 day bike ride and I expect my bum to be communicating again with the rest of my body around Wednesday.
I also confirm Philippe's advice that he has purchased my T3 Syncro Caravelle. Couldn't justify 2 Syncros outside my place vying with the neighbours for parking space and was tempted to put them both on the market and let the market decide which went first but Philippe's interest settled it for me.It should be off to WA this week.Interesting how 2  vehicles with the same core features differ with the extra weight of a camper compared to the luxury features of the Caravelle.
Wonder if this is the future of Kombi/Transporter/Multivan/Camper 4WD. I can't seem to coax  105 mpg out of my Syncro even if I tow it behind my bike.

"Power is from three sources: a 148bhp 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine, a 54bhp electric motor on the front axle and a 114bhp electric motor on the rear axle. This last motor is only used when the Cross Coupé is running in its pure electric City or all-wheel-drive Offroad modes.

Volkswagen says that in pure electric mode, the new car can be driven for up to 25 miles and can be recharged by the mains or the petrol engine. Fuel economy is a claimed 105mpg, while CO2 emissions are only 62g/km.

Despite these impressive green credentials, the Cross Coupé will still accelerate from 0-62mph in seven seconds and hit a top speed of 125mph – although in electric mode this is limited to 75mph."
