Scott,
At last I have been able to pay for the ladder and jerry
can brackets.
Val had trouble with direct deposit,
I was very sick until the past couple of days,
but in the end PayPal worked.
All funds have now cleared Paypal for Ian and he has subsequently
ordered, received and has started cutting up the stainless steel to fold
up and weld the tanks together.
Ian has noted when trying to make the central mounted ladders that they
do sit much better as a left or right hand version and they don't
interfere with the centrally mounted lock when placed left or right.
Hence, those who chose the central mounted ladder (Greg) could you
please revise your order to either left or right hand side. I would
recommend the drivers side as it obstructs view out the back window the
least.
Cheers Scott. I suspected the bottom bracket would foul on the door lock when I saw the pics. I just figured I would modify it when it was in my hands. If its ok with you I will contact Ian and ask him how big a deal it is because a side mounted ladder doesn't work for me. Thanks

Let me just clarify. I was originally hoping
that a ladder that was set up for the centre would also fit acceptably
on either of the two sides but this is not working out. For a decent fit, they
are going to have to be manufactured for their intended position. So if you want
a central ladder that will be fine. I just don't want anyone to be under the
impression that it will fit perfectly on either side as well.
I just received an updated email from Ian Fairley (tank/ ladder
manufacturer) and the tanks are all complete with the kits being put
together with our orders. Ian's exact words:
"...Everything is done. I'm busy putting the kits together
and packaging everything. I am also waiting for paperwork to be
completed by customs which is taking longer than expected. Cheers, Ian...."
Some customs issues are slowing him up but they should be heading
our way shortly.
