Ladders.

Further update Tank & Ladder Buddies,

Ian just sent through the following info:

"You can send me the shipping address now so I can begin the paperwork. I need to get the USA order off asap, once I get the documents on Thursday. After that's gone I'll get your order processed. I would say shipping will be second week of December latest. Nice Christmas presents for some people!"

So Peter, please send me through your address so that I can get that address as the official delivery address.

Thanks in advance.

Skot

Scott, when Ian says "addresses" does that mean there might be the option to split the order between Melbourne and Sydney? Greg

Unfortunately no Greg,

Thats how we reduced the cost for shipping so much - just 1 shipping address.

I will ask Ian and see if he can do anything there.

Out of interest, are there many parts heading to Brisbane after they arrive? Might be able to share costs.

Give me a Melbourne address and I will ask Ian what would be the extra costs to split the order.

Also how many tank lovers are from Victoria that would be happy to pick theirs up in Melbourne?

Thanks,

Fellow Long Range Tank Lovers,

We are progressing slowly here - all tanks and kits are now completed as are the ladders ready to ship.

Paperwork is apparently now done and we are just awaiting the next available flight from South Africa to Oz.

Flight should leave South Africa late this week.

However, I am still awaiting the order split costs to Melbourne - I will keep asking.

Here is exactly what Ian has said:

"...Hi Scott

The US order flies out today. Then yours will be on the next available aircraft, so likely towards the end of the week. I'm still waiting for pricing on the split shipping but can confirm it will definitely increase costs all round. I'll try confirm exact costs tomorrow.

Ian...."

So hopefully before Christmas they will arrive here in Oz at their required destinations.

Then we can arrange to all pick them up over the Christmas period.

Cheers,

Skot

Hi Scott,

You probably have this in hand, but thought it wise to bring it up:

We need to avoid the problem of customs clearance we had with the wheels.
The receiver of goods will only hold them for a limited time,
sometimes only three days from receipt,
so to avoid demurrage, ie storage costs,
papers need to be lodged, charges paid,
before the consignments can be released.

Ideally Ian needs to E-mail/Fax copies of docs to you and your customs agent ASAP,
preferably while the goods are still in SA,
so that you can have them processed.

This provides a flexible lead time for the person collecting the goods.

Peter

Some customs issues are slowing him up but they should be heading our way shortly.

Cheers,

Skot

Thanks for the update Skot.

Did you know if many parts are heading to Brisbane? (see if we can consolidate parts heading north)

Thanks

Richard

Cheers,

Skot

Further update Tank Ladder Buddies,

Ian just sent through the following info:

"You can send me the shipping address now so I can begin the paperwork. I need to get the USA order off asap, once I get the documents on Thursday. After that's gone I'll get your order processed. I would say shipping will be second week of December latest. Nice Christmas presents for some people!"

So Peter, please send me through your address so that I can get that address as the official delivery address.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Skot

Hey Tank Lovers,

I just received an updated email from Ian Fairley (tank/ ladder manufacturer) and the tanks are all complete with the kits being put together with our orders. Ian's exact words:

"...Everything is done. I'm busy putting the kits together and packaging everything. I am also waiting for paperwork to be completed by customs which is taking longer than expected.
Cheers, Ian...."

Hey folks that bought long range tanks,

Attached is the brochures and some have fitting instructions on them.

Ian was planning to also do a video of the install process - so
hopefully this happens soon.

I am booking mine in for my mechanic to do as I cant bring myself to
drill a hole in my van after it was recently tidied up.

Cheers,

Skot

Hi,

A big thanks to all those involved in getting this together, I got my tank last week end (thanks Colin for bringing to Brisbane!). Looking forward to getting it installed
