Lobro replacement CV shafts

Considering the price I paid recently for Lobro inner CVs(last ones too!!),and the headache it is to replace them, this looks like a great alternative.

WOW good price...does anyone have any “freight solutions” for these as the freight is more than the goods Sad smile

Just thought I might give my two cents worth on this topic. I purchased a lobro front innr cv boot from van cafe a few years back. When I fitted it I had trouble pulling the small end over the axle shaft. It was so tight that I didn't need the included clamp(it was to small anyway)I wander if aussie syncros had bigger diameter axles than U.S spec vans. Maybe Scott Daniels can measure the diameter & get back to us. I did a quick measure of mine - About 26mm or 1 inch.
Hope someone can shed some light on this. Eddie.

You got that one right. There was actually a service bulletin to not fit the small clip! In reality as the rubber gets old you may need to fit a zip tie.     Greg E

Eddie ,
I raised that question some months ago about the CV rubber boots. I
had the same problem and I complained to the supplier and was told
that GKN is a OEM supplier and therefore should be ok. I then bought
a boot from a VW dealer part # 251598201 (which by the way looks like
a Kombi #) the rubber on this one was more flexible and the axle
shaft hole slightly larger and even the clip fitted ok. But it must
the been very old stock as even the grease supplied was out of date
by a few years. Eddie, no solution I know, but I think the axle shaft
size is the same on the old Kombi, 2wd van and Syncro. Does anyone
know, for sure?

Cheers, Theo
It was tight because you bought a rear.

The fronts are 251 498 201A

Oh well.

They are the same as T2 and 2WD then.
