Looking for a Syncro

well after two years of seeing links to this group I've finally joined.

I've ownded three T3's and I want another. I'm condsidering all T3's but a Syncro would be nice. I'm in Perth WA and would love to find something local but I don't fancy my chances.

I guess I'm looking at the budget end of the market but anything considered. This new van will be my project for the next couple of years.

Anything out there?

Welcome to the group.  A name would be good so we know who we are talking to.  There is a member's Syncro for sale at the moment - see Post 5088, Peter Kestel, but note that he is in the far east of Victoria/South East NSW.  Given that there are never many available, you might have to travel to get one.
 
There are a number of Syncro owners in and around Perth, plus one in Denmark.  Tell us about yourself and see if you can hook up with some of the local Syncro owners.

Hi,If interested,i have a 1990 Caravelle GL Automatic with 256,000 kms.It is a Metallic Silver colour with Tacho,electric windows,tow bar and in VGC.You say you are loking at the "Budget End" of the market,well here it is as i am asking 6 K for it.If interested let me know.Cheers

Also, a little closer to home, you can try calling Andrew at what
used to be called Volkscare in Adelaide (08 82769999) He had one for
sale for $6000 a few months ago. I've not seen it but believe he put
it together from others he ended up with at his mechanics workshop/
wrecking yard.

Thanks for the response and all the others. I'm actually English, my wife is German she got me into these damm T3's.

At the moment, I'm going to limit my search to Perth and surrounding areas. I've got the engine of my 2wd in pieces and a T5 camper to finish. Once these are done I'll widen my search. I think I still need to learn a little about the syncro's.

The Perth Syncro owners seem to be very possessive and don't sell them very often but you never know your luck.  We never got many in Australia and the supply will only ever diminish, so you have to take that into consideration.  But, and this is a serious warning, once you get a Syncro, all else pales; addiction comes very easily.

I'm getting confused. The syncro I'm interested in is being sold by
Peter and I don't think he lives in Adelaide but in Far East Victoria or
Far Sth Coast NSW. Very frustrating

He mentioned in addition to peters van for sale onh the east coast he'd also seen one for sale in adelaide some months ago. I simply wanted to let you know that the adelaide syncro is already sold as I bought it to save you calling about it were you interested.hope this clears things up,
