G'day Sam,
If it was my grill, first consideration would be investigating the
feasability of repairing it before shelling out hard earned cash for a
sight unseen replacement. Hard to say without seeing it whether this is
a viable option. There may be mending products on the market that may do
the job, also, perhaps it can be reinforced where the cracks/rattle
is/are. Sight unseen, it's difficult to tell and would need further
investigation. Just another project to add to the "to do" list eh.
Are there bits of it now fallen off and lost, maybe that is the main
issue?
When it comes to re-painting the grill, take a look around at some
syncros where they have painted the grill the same colour as the body
colour, in my view, looks a whole lot better. Paint both top and bottom
grills, now that would be pleasantly picky.
Cheers.
