They have worn very well (guess 25%-30% worn). They cost $145 each. less than half bf goodies.($725 set of 5). Quoted price of bf goodies was about $300 each($1500 set 5). The bf's were just too expensive for me. Another consideration is damaging a tyre beyond repair when say half worn and having to replace all four tyres to keep all four the same rolling circumfrence. Anyway highly recommend if you can"t justify the cost of bf goodies. Cheers Bill. PS. I"m at Nambucca Heads and would be great get together with all syncro in area over xmas.

Thanks for the feed back Bill, I am much more comfortable with the purchase knowing someone with of road experience likes them. Are yours the ma-751? Greg--- On Fri, 4/12/09, Bill <marg_bill@westnet.com.au> wrote: |

Bill,
This is very useful information on the MAXXIS tyre, and the more so because you are putting up 1/3 on gravel. (I doubt if any other member would be doing this percentage.)
Please keep us posted.

Greg. I fitted a set of MAXXIS 15 inch tyres to my
syncro and like your 14inch am very happy with them. About 18000km covered so
far in 8 months. Mostly highway 90-100kph(12000km) . Dirt/sand/ gravel
(6000km).

half bf goodies.($725 set of 5). Quoted price of bf goodies was about $300

highly recommend if you can"t justify the cost of bf goodies. Cheers Bill.
