Just passing on a 2008 list of Melbourne VW wreckers that I found on the VW Watercooled site. I've had good results from Volkspower and Wolfsburg (now outside Geelong) but I think Volksking no longer exist certainly at the Hood St address.
I will not appreciate suggestions that my name should be added to the list of wreckers.
I may need to access a parts recycler as still working on the Caravelle.- new windscreen went in today. Last weekend unclipped the panel under the rear seat to fix some trim on the rear heat exchanger and found a brand new unopened snatch strap and heavy shackles presumably secreted there in case of a need that never materialised and was therefore forgotten.There were also about 20 years of broken biscuits, lollie wrappers and odd playing cards along with the major find and a 20cent piece. My Scottish ancestry has me believing that finding the 20c piece alone justified the trip to Adelaide to buy the car.
