After reading a recent post (not sure whom ) about injector cleaner, I thought I would give it a try. Lo and behold after running some Repco injector cleaner for a few days I gave the syncro a push up my regular test hill. Usually I can make 60kph at the top but now it's 75kph. The old girl keeps revving like I can't remember.
A couple of mechanics have given me some tips on engine management.Comments please?
Try 150-200ml of diesel per tank as an injector cleaner. Supposedly gets the same result for 5% of the cost.Run for one or two tanks. Also auto trans fluid about 1 litre in your engine oil for a couple of weeks will clean hydraulic lifters and get rid of that rattle.

Hi All,
I used a fuel treatment to clean the tank, lines and more importantly the injectors. I noticed an initial increase in power, mostly top end. The motors running a bit rough after 2 tanks full with the interject added. I believe all the crap may be clogging up my fuel filter. Ill change it this week and let you know the outcome. Adding diesel is very risky and my initial post was related to cleaning the injectors.

Being a mid northcoaster maybe you want to join us (bill, ben ,scott, hart, that i know of) 9am, hat head bowlo , wed 4th jan for a run down plomer rd to port and i think get together at Harts. Bill. Ps i'll be leaving nambucca 7.45am and will pass the nambucca tourist information centre at the southern highway entrance to nambucca at that time if you wanted to meet for the run down to hat. Bill
