Saturday Fun and Sunday Cruise Plan A

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FRIDAY

Arrival at the Camp/Cabin Site in Narooma.

Run out and about as people want...nothing planned as people will arrive at all times. Please great people arriving, and offer them a drink and a smile, they probably came a long way!

SATURDAY

Saturday is intended to be informal, to allow people to go to the beach, play with their kids, lie in bed, chill out or just hang out. During the day...

Saturday - Rolling BBQ breakfast. BYO food.

Saturday events for kids. Want to organise a treasure hunt for the kids. Volunteers wanted to help with some toys/lollie hiding etc.,

Soccer game -grown ups and kids - morning

Sandcastle Competition for the kids - afternoon

During the day, take the opportunity to ask people questions, maybe get some tips and advice!

SATURDAY NIGHT

Cruise to Central Tilba and surronds, followed by evening BBQ and drinkies at the site.

SUNDAY - ALL VW CRUISE ... TO TILBA TILBA.

Day trippers - arrive 10am for 10.30 departure for the cruise.

Please note this is CRUISE, not a race. If you feel the need for speed, please consider others around you. The opening of snow is this weekend, so expect Mr Plod to be watching. If you're not driving a VW - Come anyway, no one will care, just come and say hello!

Depart at 10.30am from ISLAND VIEW RESORT NAROOMA

Head back up north from Island View, over the bridge in Narooma
and out along scenic drive no. 5, through Kianga and Dalmeny, returning via the highway to head south towards Tilba.

That circuit should take about half an hour maximum.

Head South. About 10 kms south from Narooma there's a place on the
coast called Mystery Bay, accessed via 2km sealed road and well worth
visiting for the spectacular scenery; spotted gum forest, rocky coves and
sandy beaches.

Park Up to take in the views, let the kids have a run. Photos.

Mid-day - Head to central Tilba is 5 minutes further on, and Tilba Tilba 2 km further still. (all tar roads). The cheese factory has a showroom and sales; there are a few places in Central Tilba that can do lunch; various tea-rooms and a fine bakery. At Tilba Tilba is a magnificent Open Garden and a cafe.

Plenty of good spots to take period photos.

Thats a good 2-3 hours for eating, browsing and hanging out. Very spouse and kid friendly.

Cheese factory and browse the shops until 2.30pm

Please Note : Parking en-mass is not that easy in Tilba (so I am told).

Drive to the Narooma Visitors Centre, where I've arranged a masss park-up in their carpark from 3-5 (if people stay that long). General Public and rubber neckers. They are happy to allow an informal swap meet if people want.

Return to Island View for DIY BBQ at about 5.30/6.00pm

Help wanted on the griddle please. Kids like to eat about then, but imagine that food will continue on...Island View are providing the BBQ. Bring yer own food - and don't be tight! - snags, rissoles etc., plenty for all. A few have cabins, so it would be nice if people could cook up some rice and extras etc., to go with the BBQ.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Above all HAVE FUN with other VW folks, DRIVE yer VW somewhere and say hello to people you don't know ... this is the FIRST DSK SPLIT TOGETHER, and your participation and support will make it all the more rewarding ... a great chill out before VALLA in August. Very Happy
