Injections ?
Injections ?
Hi Tom,
I have not tried the Go Westy ones, but got a set of after market ones from Bus Depot as a spare. When I had my originals cleaned/new screens fitted tested and new seals, I had them test the aftermarket ones at the same time. They tested identical to the originals. I have not used the new ones yet, but should be a direct swap if I ever have issues.
Just looked on the go Westy web site, certainly reads as though theirs are better??
As far as more power or better economy, I would not expect a lot of difference. The O2 sensor should correct for any variations in mixture, that's all controlled by the ECU. Maybe if the spray pattern is better, you might get less unburnt fuel?

I have had a read on the two types (green and yellow) of injectors, and they should be interchangeable.
Going through some old parts, I have a set of (yellow) injectors. I’m going to have them cleaned and tested at some point.
Has anyone had injectors fail? I assume hey will all fail (burn out the coil?) at some stage. I have had mine cleaned and tested a couple of years ago, and are running fine. I do have a set of (new) aftermarket ones that tested fine compared to the originals, but have never fitted them. I’ll have to give them a test run one day!

In case anyone is interested or needs them, I have a full set of injectors - well the complete injection system really - from my '92 with 220k on its clock.
Selling as no longer needed after EJ25 upgrade. Will post pics in the T3 part sales when I get around to it.
