NEW MEMBER

Hi Guys,

My name is Tony and I live here in Denmark, and Ive just joined the club! About a year ago I logged on to the site and as it happened a guy called Oscar was advertising his SYNCRO for sale, and described it as the best SYNCRO since sliced bread. I travelled to Melbourne to view it together with another SYNCRO which was an ex Telstra. This one was VERY basic with no side windows but much cheaper than Oscars.. Does anyone know what happened to  Oscars SYNCRO? My van is still not yet on the road as I have had side windows fitted together with a fibreglass High Top and had it resprayed. At present I am fitting out the inside and am wrestling with ideas for a water tank !
Are there any happenings down this way as I would love to get some experience with fellow Syncronauts..
Look forward to meeting you all someday.
Regards
Tony

Hi,

Oscar Syncro was sold to a Victorian ( not a member of this group to my knowledge ),it
suffered extensive damage done to the drive line as the new owner didn't recognise a bad
vibration as a failed uni joint in the drive shaft and kept driving @ 110 down Hume HWY
till it had shaken the muffler off, broken the decoupler housing and g-box housing
drained all the oil out and come to a grinding smoking halt. Needless to say that was an
expensive introduction to the finer points of Syncro ownership. It was repaired an is still
being enjoy by its new owner.

Steve.
