  Hi Syncronauts,

Needed to share with you that some people just can't help themselves.
Here are some pictures of my new acquisition which I managed to import with
absolutely no customs problems.
Only problem I have now is does anyone know how I can make it 43 times
bigger?
Cheers
Roger

Hi Roger,

If you wanted to make it bigger, you could scrounge some 1:43 scale 16" wheels from somewhere and glue them on.

Did you get the model on the internet?? I could go one of these.

Hi Les,
Yeah I have a few of these, also from ebay. Bit of a shame this Schaback syncro model only ever came with round headlights and LHD.
Cheers.

Roger,

I have a similar model that I found on eBay some years ago and with the original box.  It was sold by VW dealers and has its own part number: ZVW 876255

The artwork on the box shows a Syncro in plain blue (same as Phil’s).  The actual model is metallic beige.   It does not have the body markings of yours, it does not have wipers but the scale appears to be a bit more accurate.

Underneath, it bears the legend SCHABAK MODELL, No 1040/41, the VW trademark and “CARAVELLE syncro”.

I will take some pics of it and post it to the group.

Les
