Nic Stein's Spain in a T3

Wonder if anyone else is watching this  cooking series 8.30pm Tuesdays on ABC1? The presenter garnishes his meals and ingredients from the various regions of Spain with footage of his travel in his trusty RHD 2WD T3 Camper. Last week he did however complain about the shortcomings of the gearbox as he crunched his way up hill through the gears.
Some off screen samples are attached.

I have been watching and he sure did crunch the gears last week. He's only cooked in it once so you wonder why he is even using a van. Still, nice to see the T3.

I haven’t seen that front grille before so I watched the programme tonight just to be sure.  Can anyone add to that?

Les,
Isn't it  a South African twin smaller round headlight grill painted white? Just Kampers list the grill only for $290 AUD  or for $800+ if you include the actual lights plus a lower grill incorporating foglights. I quite like it but in my opinion it needs the VW badge in the middle and shouldn't be painted white. I presume that the AA badge indicates he belongs to the Automobile Association rather than he has a drinking problem. His T3 also has the front fibreglass air dam skirt.
Cheers

I don't know the brand of those grilles, but I think they are german. The roof is a Reimo so makes sense that it is german.
