No more syncro

Well after owning my syncro for 25 and a half years it has now gone to another home. Sold it on Sunday and it did a 1,000km trip north with it's new owners daughter behind the wheels. Apparently she blew a few cobwebs out of that little diesel on the trip.

It's a sad day but thanks to everyone for all the information and help over the years. I bought a new T5 4Motion 2 and a half years ago so couldn't afford to keep my syncro, unfortunately.

Have a great Christmas

Thats a shame Bruce.

A really nice van was yours but thanks for telling us and dont be a stranger :-)

Cheers,

Skot

Hi all new T4,T5,T6 owners, please don't drift off...we are all connected somehow, going back to Splitties in many cases.
We have at present a couple from Bavaria Germ. touring the country. They are showing off their latest KombiLive conversion. Very impressive the fact that within 15 mins you have your vehicle back as it was when new without a single hole been drilled into the body.our
Mark Kofahl is the Importer , check it out.
We were lucky to have both demos here o/n with us with a test run in the T6. Love it.

Hi Bruce and Alison from CQ.
After 25 and a half years, it must have been an emotional departure..... Enjoy the smooth life on the other side.

Hi Hartmut, is there a link to view KombiLive conversion?
All I get when I google is a Polish rock band called KombiLive???
WTF!

Gerald

Must be that time of year, I have been having a clean up of sorts also. After 23 years of VW ownership I have recently sold two type 3's and two Kombi's ('74 and '76). These were definite doer uppers and beyond the time and resources I have available. Still need to make hard decisions on a number of other VW's over the coming months as the clean up continues.

It certainly is a sad an emotional time, some vehicles I have used as parts cars, so not so bad, but the others have all been daily drivers for myself and partner and not so easy to let go!

The Syncro is the new comer and will be staying.

I will be sticking around. Those Bateman Bay trip were very memorable and enjoyable.

I was disappointed that I couldn't make it to Valla this year to see you all but the timing just didn't work out unfortunately. Maybe 2018 hopefully.

Hi Bruce

I remember the time we met down at Shallow Crossing in January 2007, and always appreciated the opportunity you gave me to drive the Syncro with the Golf Diesel motor (AAZ yes?)

I remember you mentioned that it was one of the last in Australia to be sold (late 1992 / early 1993 from memory), and you had the choice of Maroon (red) - in stock in Brisbane or Commercial Blue which had to come up from Sydney...

I have attached a couple of photos of our time there, but as they are large and may not come through I quickly created a special gallery online for you to check - http://www.syncro.com.au/g/bb-syncro-diesel.

We may be up your way in Gracemere / Rockhampton / Yeppoon in January and would be happy to visit.

Best wishes
Mark.

Hi Hart

Thanks for noting the visit and the new KombiLife initiative and the beautiful cabintery we are bringing in next year from Bavaria.

We enjoyed staying with you, and particularly so Max enjoyed seeing little Milo. I have attached a couple of pictures from Tuesday and last Wednesday when Hubert and Uschii were there as well in the T6.

Best wishes
Mark
