Total mystery this one, all the same, my apologies to all affected. Straight out of left field.
My PC system is since checked and reports clean as. Email accounts functioning as normal.
Not much else I can do really, if you can't find a problem, it's pretty damn hard to fix!
If you get any more viagra and such-like mail links, rest assured it is not I sending them.

Ken,

There are many ways for an address to be stolen.   The most usual is where your address (or mine or anyone’s) is on someone else’s non-secured computer. 

The automated theft programme keeps searching for non-secured computers (and there must be millions upon millions of them!) and copies the address book of any computer they break into.   They then sell the stolen addresses for a tidy little sum.

The note that I sent out was to warn the more unwary of our members not to open anything that is coming under your name.

Since you post quite a few links, I suggest that you accompany any such with text that identifies you.

Les,

Finally! ... it's been about a half a day or more since the last spam went out .... Hotmail just denied me access to my own account, reporting to me that spam mail had been sent out via it.
Hotmail has since put me through a security/checking/resetting process to correct/re-enable my email account. First time I've ever been through such an incident in say 23 years of email account ownership.

Touch wood, this issue is resolved, time will tell.
