Oil Consumption

1.5 litres per 1000km!!??? is anyone experiencing this?I did 1600 km at Christmas.1100 kays highway, fully loaded approx 100kph+.500 kays offroad or beach driving and my dipstick was still on the full mark.Is it me or does this sound excessive?
Crazy isn't it. BMW quote one litre per thousand with their "normal" vehicles and one point five with the "M" vehicles but I saw them replace engines with less than half that consumption. What is even more bazaar is these cars are doing 25,000kms in between services, imagine putting 37litres of oil in your car between services. I think it is the manufacturers way of holding all the cards in the warranty period. See what's on at the movies in your area. Find out now.
Nope, not yet here.
But that's what each owners T3 VAG Instruction Manual says.

See page 87.

I that was just to stop people making warranty claims.
