Oiling plates

Hello all,long time....
Can any one tell me about the oiling plates fitted to the RSA 5cyl Audi transaxles.
As I understand they are some sort of baffle designed to keep oil on the pinion bearing??? Is this correct?

Does any one have any pictures of them,as I am wondering if I could make a set.

Hartmate,as I remember you were contemplating fitting these or some type of cooling, what did you end up doing??

Thankyou
BenC
Ben i had a set, but my gear ox monkey at the time did not know where or how to fix them and when picking up the box he couldn't find them anymore . They are gone. They were  very well fabricated, SouthAfrican manufacture. If they work, no one can tell at least they can't do any harm...

Got the box out?

I believe they improve oiling to the main shaft and C&P. You have to drill and tap the holes (not hard). Greg E

Hart,

Not around Christmas???

Oh no!

What are we going to do with our new year off-road adventure.

Maybe we can head north along one of Ben's trails towards Hat Head?

Cheers,

Skot,  yep, won't be around for Christmas this year . Have to go to NZ for one last time (have crossed the ditch 36 times in the last 8 yrs) . Time has come to concentrate on wider family and Syncros .
Suggest you take the Ben Trail and visit him at Hat Head , the trail is superb, well worth traveling
Will be in touch before we leave
