Hello All
Well Andrew and Melissa, the West Aussies, have left
Gracemere and headed north continuing their trip around Australia.

Andrew and I have had 5 days of full on "syncro talk". That boy sure
has the syncro "disease". Anyway we had a great time reading all my
collected syncro stuff.

Yesterday we went for a drive to the Byfield National Park and had a
good day with the sand driving and down onto the beach. First time my
van has been there since it got it's diesel and I was happy how it
performed.

It was fantastic to meet them and Cape York awaits!!!!

It is very pleasing to me to see that the website works in this way, with Syncro owners making contact with each other, particularly when touring.  It makes to work well worth it.

Hey there Bruce,
Sounds like you had a nice meeting there with Andrew and Melissa. Ryoko and I are planning a trip around the block next year so Im very envious hearing of their adventures,especially Cape York. I hope they continue to take their time,maybe we'll meet them somewhere along the way.
 
Interested to hear more about your diesel conversion. Would very much like to update mine sometime soon. Some more information would be much apreciated. What size? What sort of vehicle did it originate from? How much did it all cost? Is it a Turbo diesel? Did you do all the work yourself? Any difficulties? Did you buy  it in a kit form? Are you able to run bio diesel fuel? Any photos? Did you need to do any gearing changes? I think that about covers it... (^_~)

Have you seen the price of distillate in the last few weeks?  There is absolutely NO price advantage in diesel.  In fact, it is a hefty disadvantage.  I can't see it getting any better anytime in the next 500 years.

Don't get me started on the price of diesel and the 17 cents a litre above the price of petrol the oil companies are making!!!!

In Germany it's the other way around :) One argument might be fuel
consumption, though... TDi take under 10l/100km - which WBX can do
that? None...
