great - we are actually at bateman's bay in the Syncro enjoying a sunny and rainy long weekend at Pebbly Beach, v. close to Peter's place at Depot Beach. Peter - doesn't seem anyone is home when we swung past?

Ah, Pebbly Beach. I used to stay there in the
cabins during the 60's. Great place. I don't know what it is like
now, but then it was great. There was, however, an unusual night-time
hazard. If anyone was silly enough to go outside at night without a torch,
they would invariably fall over a sleeping kangaroo. A BIG sleeping
kangaroo! How do I know? I still have the
bruises! At night, the grass outside the cabins was their patch and
people came second.
