Porche T3 from factory

Google "b32 transporter"
Did not know this was ever made

Unfortunately they built just a few of them. They are labelled as VW, but officially they are Porsche.
I first read about the the B32 in CAR magazine in 1984.
This article was my inspiration to build one for myself.
I went to Germany, even visited the Porsche factory, but could not find a B32 or anyopne to talk to me about them in the short time I was able to be there.
So my then VW fleet mechanic and a Porsche Cup mechanic built me our interpretation of a B36.
The reason why we built a 3.6 was because we could not find a good 3.2 engine.

These days, I'm told that if you can find a genuine B32 for sale it will cost you megabucks, like hundreds of thousansands.

I am sure that if Porsche had built a B36 it would have been a far nicer car.
The 3.6 engine is more powerful and has a far better torque curve.
It pulls like a train, and rips through to a 7000 RPM rev limit when in the right gear.
My 3.6 is a gem, it flattens mountains and goes like the wind.

Speeds in gears are: 60, 105,160, 210 and if it was a Porsche, 250 in top.
The B32 was capable of 218 Kph and I'm sure the 3.6 is faster, but you would need a long airport runway on a very still day to explore 225 plus.

There are a lot of pictures and some information on the B32 on the web, just put VW B32 into Google.

Hi Philippe. I saw one at the VW “oldtimers” commercial Museum in Hanover during our recent Syncro round trip in Germany. It looks fantastic. I took a photo but we had to guarantee that we would not share the photos on the internet. But someone has done that and here are a couple I found of the car I saw.  It’s an beautiful vehicle with the 6 cylinder boxer engine. Top speed 185 km/h. It’s an amazing museum with original vehicles of every production van. Cheers, Peter from Port
