Probably a nice addition/upgrade to a T3......

Hi syncrosity,

Don’t know which porsche engines are watercooled and which ones aircooled. Do you ?

The watercooled 2480 cc from the ’96 boxer sounds like interesting. Dry sump is nice off course for the car’s ground clearance which is already no big problem on a boxer engine with a normal sump !

1996: Public launch of the Boxster at the 1996 Paris Motor Show. A mid-engine roadster, the Boxster reveals Porsche's new generation of power units with very convincing facts and figures (2480 cc, 204 bhp/150 kW). Six water-cooled cylinders in horizontally opposed arrangement, four overhead camshafts with VarioCam, four valves per cylinder and integrated dry sump lubrication are the technical highlights

The 3.0ltr was introduced in 76 minus the turbo.
Ok as far as i know watercooled porsche's were introduced in in 1998,

As for the dry sump, i cant say.
