prestige A/C update

No compressor mounts??? Don,t get caught with Prestige stuff, try and find original mounts at 1/2 the weight and twice the strenght. Got mine from benT,
$ 100 plus us shipping , some 6 years back.

I have a compressor but no mount.

You can probably get a good factory mount from theSamba.com.

They are loads better than the Prestige ones.

So what is a Prestige system? Is that a brand/installer?

I like your idea on the mount Hart, I have a very heavy steel fabricated one on the Syncro, but a factory one on my 2WD. Factory looks so much nicer.

Might be something I keep my eye out for!


Richo, if you need a compressor, I'd be considering new over second hand. Anything original would be at or past the end of it's useful life. I replaced mine just over a year ago as the system kept leaking gas. It was from the seals in the compressor.

I've got a "Daewoo" compressor on my spare engine. If anybody wants it, can be done for a six pack. :)
