Prop shaft

Hi folks,

did this about 6 years ago and need to do it again ( different syncro ) so I thought I would share the info.
Noisy prop shaft ? Chances are it's the bronze bushes in the rear worn out.
The outside one is easy to get to. Replace with a poly bush you can get from this mob

They'll even give you a free sample if you're running a business :)

Syncaru project continues ... Rear cv's and new cruise control and she's just about done..

Merry christmas to all.
Hi Mark,

Does the sound of the noisy prop shaft you mention sound similar to a empty vessel, when changing gears.

You mention the outer one is there a inner one.

Regards

Philippe

Yep it's a hollow ringing metallic kind of sound. Two bronze bushes get worn inside the rear of the propshaft.
The outer one is easy to remove , and grease the inner one if you can't get it out.
The one poly bush worked a treat.

Mark
Mark,

In case I need to do this - where did you get the poly-bush from?

Thanks,

Skot

Just Google Igus Skott. They've got distributors in every state. Friendly bunch.
