If it was me I would get one of the muller boys to check it out it may cost a few dollars but at least you have a person who knows the vehicles

Leighton,

That is fortuitous for you.  None of us want to put you off buying a Syncro but it can be an expensive minefield if you don’t have a good grounding in the Syncro basics.

As an example, I bought my Syncro from an establishment that one would expect to have reasonable of the Syncro.  In fact, notwithstanding that I had not previously owned a Syncro, I soon found that I knew about ten times more than they did.

A case in point was that it had different brand and size tyres on the front and rear axles.   This guarantees that the Viscous Coupling will have been rendered very aggressive (this means that it begins to function far earlier than it should) or that it will be completely inoperative.   I had to explain this two them and it was all new knowledge to them.

Steve is very knowledgeable so he is a good starting point.
