I have an antenna for your super panther and the meter to tune it if you like.

UHF is the only way to go nowadays. They are compatible with the hand helds.
Just remember the more you pay the better the quality.

Thanks for that Phill, sounds like an option worth taking up,
particularly if I get some feedback here from anyone who has a
compatible CB and is going on the Tour. Anyone?

Gday Phill,  thanks for this guidance. I'm thinking a remote head model fitted to the fixed metalwork directly under the radio would make sense, high enough to see the digital display and within easy reach and also out of the direct sun from the windscreen.
